«FANCY» DESIGN EXHIBITION

«FANCY» DESIGN EXHIBITION
This project observes the overflow of merchandise images and experiments with them within the context of "fancy goods." Characters on fancy items act as minimal narrative units, carrying story elements even without an explicit backstory. While merchandise is typically treated as a derivative or an afterthought at the end of the design process, this project reinterprets fancy goods as a playful medium through which graphic images independently engage with physical objects.
The Fancy Project presents an array of objects capable of hosting printed graphics. The collision and settling of these characters, as they attach themselves to various surfaces, remain an ongoing, open-ended process.
